Kangoo Rain Light Sensor Problems

I've got a 2007 Renault Kangoo, gasoline engine, with around 179k km. I'm having a weird issue with what I think is the rain-light sensor. The error memory has a fault, causing no automatic wiping, headlight control, speedometer dimming, and the lights switch on randomly. Anyone seen this? Could it be the sensor or calibration? Any pointers before I replace parts?

I had similar problems with my Kangoo. Are there any bubbles under the gel pad of the windshield where the sensor sits? That was my issue.

Yeah, the bubbles are a known issue. It usually means the sensor is compromised. I tried to clean mine, but no luck. I had to go to the workshop for a replacement. They said the bubbles interfere with the sensor's ability to 'see' properly. Replacing it yourself could save on labor, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Thanks! I checked, and there were bubbles. The shop confirmed the sensor was bad. New sensor installed, cost 62€, and everything's working again. Appreciate the help!
