Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't checked those specifically. What exactly should I be looking for with the throttle body and catalytic converter? And how would I test the air-fuel ratio?

In my case, the workshop diagnosed a defective injector. It was causing the lean running condition. I'd suggest taking it to a professional; they can properly diagnose the issue and prevent further damage.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to the workshop as you suggested. They confirmed it was indeed a defective injector. The repair set me back about 515€, but the Kangoo is running smoothly again!

I had similar symptoms on my old Opel Astra. Check engine light, rough running – turned out it was a lean running condition. Have you checked the usual suspects like the throttle body or catalytic converter? A bad air-fuel ratio can cause havoc.
