Kangoo Sunroof Initialization Error

Hi, I'm having a weird issue with my 2016 Renault Kangoo gasoline. The sunroof gives me a 'not initialized' error. The sunblind is stuck, and I can't open or close the convertible top at all. Plus, the sunblind won't retract or extend. Could it be because someone did some coding on the car? Anyone else had this?

Hey! I had a similar problem with my Kangoo. The sunblind got completely stuck. Did this happen after any work on the car's electronics, like a software installation or something? Have you tried checking the fuses, maybe one blew? Just trying to figure out if it's the same thing I went through.

That's interesting, so it's not just me then. The coding was done a while back, not recently. The sunroof was working fine after that. Regarding the fuses, are there any specific fuses I should be checking? Or is it just a case of checking them all?

Yeah, sounds awfully familiar. I wouldn't know exactly which fuse, but usually there's a diagram in the owner's manual or on the fuse box itself. Honestly, though, with the coding thing you mentioned, it might be a bit beyond simple fuse checking. Ended up taking mine to a workshop, and they sorted it out pretty quick. Might save you some headache?

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a local garage, and they re-initialized the sunroof system. Apparently, the coding had messed something up. Cost me 75€ but it's all working perfectly again. Appreciate the help!
