Kangoo ZE Electrical Malfunction
Summary of the thread
A 2016 Renault Kangoo ZE is experiencing a general electrical malfunction, with an error stored in memory and an inoperative navigation system. Onboard diagnostics indicate implausible control unit programming, suggesting a possible software glitch in the ECU. Could you elaborate on the problem you experienced with your Kangoo and how it was resolved? Was a software reset required, or was a more extensive intervention necessary?

Yeah, mine was throwing up all sorts of error codes, too. The driving was choppy, and the dashboard lit up! Eventually, I took it to a workshop, and they confirmed it was a software glitch. They had to re-flash the ECU. Best to get it checked professionally; messing with the ECU yourself can brick it.

I appreciate the advice. Based on your experience, I will schedule an appointment with a qualified technician to address the potential ECU programming fault. The estimated repair cost is 240€.

Hey, I had something similar with my Kangoo! Though it's not the same year, the symptoms sound awfully familiar. Did you check the ECU? It could be a software bug causing weirdness. Is the van driving okay, apart from the nav being dead?
