Hey, no problem, I'm glad if I can help. Yes, I remember the bill pretty clearly because it was a bit higher than expected. I paid €465 for the entire replacement of the central locking control unit. But since then everything has been fine again, no more subsequent problems. If you want to know for sure: the ignition key battery wasn't the problem, it's been working perfectly again since my visit to the mechanic. So don't worry and have it checked by your mechanic. Maybe you'll be lucky and it won't be so expensive. Good luck!

Hey, thanks for the clarification and the helpful advice. 465 sounds really steep, but if it helps, then it's worth it. Glad to hear you haven't had any other problems and hope I have the same luck. Will contact my mechanic straight away tomorrow and get it checked out. Thanks again for your support! Hopefully it won't be as expensive for me. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Hello, I had a similar problem with my 2011 Citroen C3 Picasso. In my case, the control unit for the central locking system was defective. This was indicated by the warning lights on the dashboard lighting up, so it wasn't a battery problem with the key. It was a serious matter, because it disturbed the electronics in the car. I can only recommend that you go to a garage and have it checked. As a hobby mechanic, there's hardly any chance of doing it yourself, because in principle the part controls the entire central locking system. In my experience last year, the control unit had to be replaced because it was not possible to repair it there. So touring doesn't seem to be the right approach. Good luck with it, hope it's not that serious for you.
