Key fob difficulties with Peugeot 207 Diesel, 2010: looking for advice and experience

Key fob issues

Locking/Unlocking issue

Hi guys, my Peugeot 207 diesel from 2010 with a mileage of 192237 km is causing me concern. Having problems with the key fob and locking/unlocking the car. Suspect it could be a fault in the access control system. Has anyone had any experience with this problem or can give me good advice on what to do? Last time at the garage I was unfortunately unhappy, so I would like to hear opinions and experiences from others on this issue. Thanks in advance!

Hey, I drive a Peugeot 206 Diesel from 2007 and had a similar problem. I was diagnosed with "input signal of another control unit faulty". On my Peugeot, the ECU had to be recalibrated and some components replaced. Not exactly a small problem, but with the right workshop it can be solved effectively. I had a good experience with my garage. In any case, you should have it checked at a specialist garage as it can be a serious issue and if not dealt with, further problems could occur. Have a safe journey!

Hey, thanks for your advice! I will definitely make an appointment at a specialist workshop. Do you happen to remember how much it cost to have your control unit recalibrated and components replaced? Have any other problems cropped up since then? Thanks in advance and have a safe journey!

Hey, glad I could help you! So I remember the complete fix for the "input signal from another ECU faulty" problem cost me around €1000, which wasn't cheap, but it got my Peugeot back on the road. And since I've been to the mechanic, the problems with the access control system have also been fixed perfectly - no more problems with opening and closing! Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and accept the repair costs to avoid trouble later. So far, good luck, good luck, no further problems have arisen. I hope this helps you and you can enjoy driving again! Have a good trip and keep me up to date!

Hi, thanks for the detailed information and encouraging words! I guess this is something I need to do...progressive problem avoidance. Your experience tells me that it's definitely time to get my Peugeot checked out at the garage. I will take your advice and get the mechanic to check the ECU and the access control system. Congratulations on your trouble free car, I hope I can say the same soon! I'll post an update in the future to keep anyone else who may have the same problem informed. Keep up the good driving and thanks again!
