Moin mate, that sounds exactly like the problem I encountered with my 2014 Mercedes E-Class. Exactly the same symptoms. Seems to me that the control unit for the central locking is faulty. Don't worry, it's annoying but not critical. Last time at the garage, the master technician reconnected and reconfigured it and that saved the day. The signal from the key then went through clearly again. Check your handbook to see if it says anything about this and tell your mechanic to check the central locking system. Good luck with that!
