I have a Kicks too, and I had something similar happen. Could be ambient noise messing with the system. Have you checked your volume control or tried using voice recognition lately? Maybe it's a wireless connection problem with your phone?

Ambient noise? Volume control? I don’t see the correlation, but I'm willing to investigate. What makes you think it's connected to those issues? I thought it was the audio system itself that died.

Yeah, mine acted up with similar symptoms; telephony issues and the like. In the end, the whole thing was shot. I'd head to a workshop; they'll likely say it needs replacing.

Thanks. I feared that might be the case. Took it to the workshop, and you were right. Infotainment system is fried. Replacement is gonna run me about 815€. Ouch!
