Kix oxygen sensor issue

Help! My 2011 Nissan Kix with a gasoline engine is throwing codes! The check engine light is on, and my fuel consumption has gone bonkers. I scanned it, and it's showing an aged oxygen sensor. I checked the connections, and the cable looks kinda sus. Anyone else seen this?

Dude, I had the same thing happen on my Kix. Check engine light, the whole shebang. For me, it was like my car was suddenly chugging gas like it was going out of style. Sounds like our O2 sensors are acting up in similar ways. Is it possible it's just a bad connection?

Yeah, I was thinking the connection could be the culprit. Did you end up replacing the whole sensor, or was it just a wiring fix? I'm trying to avoid spending a ton of cash if I can.

Honestly, I fiddled with the connection for a bit, and it seemed okay, but the light kept coming back. Eventually, I just took it to my mechanic because I was tired of messing with it. Turns out the sensor itself was starting to go bad, even though the connection looked fine. Might be worth getting it checked out properly to save yourself the headache.

Alright, cheers for the advice! I'll bite the bullet and get it checked out by a pro. Turns out it was indeed the sensor AND a dodgy plug - 95€ later and she's purring again!
