Koleos check engine light
Summary of the thread
A 2021 Renault Koleos diesel with 95,388 km is experiencing a check engine light, reduced engine power, and smoke during acceleration. The suspected cause is a malfunctioning crankcase ventilation valve. A similar case was resolved by replacing the valve, which suggests that inspecting and potentially replacing this component could address the issue.

Idle seems rough, fluctuating slightly. Did replacing the valve resolve your issue? What was the repair cost?

Yes, replacing the valve solved the problem. Given your rough idle and other symptoms, it does sound like the crankcase ventilation. I would suggest taking it to a workshop to confirm. I got it fixed for 360€.

I had a similar issue with my Koleos. Check the crankcase ventilation valve and its hoses for leaks or damage. A malfunctioning valve can cause those symptoms. What does the engine idle sound like?
