Koleos rain light sensor fault
Summary of the thread
A 2019 Renault Koleos is experiencing a rain-light sensor fault, affecting automatic wiping, headlight control, and speedometer dimming, with lights remaining on permanently. A possible cause is obstructions or bubbles under the gel pad on the windshield, interfering with the sensor's function. The suggested solution is to inspect the windshield for such issues and visit a workshop for professional assessment and repair.

Obstructions? No, I haven't seen anything obvious. What exactly happened with yours? I am curious to know.

Well, with mine, bubbles had formed under the gel pad of the windshield, right where the sensor sits. It's like trying to see clearly through frosted glass – messes with the sensor's readings. In my opinion, the best option is to visit the local workshop.

Right, bubbles under the gel pad... That could be it. I'll have the windshield checked, and then I'll probably go to the workshop as you suggested. Thanks for the insight! Repair bill was 62€ in the end!

Interesting. I had something similar with my Koleos. Sounds like a malfunctioning sensor alright. Have you checked for any obstructions on the windshield near the sensor? It could be something as simple as a bug splat, or worse, like what happened to me...
