Koleos Stalling at Idle
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Renault Koleos with 227,000 kilometers is experiencing stalling at idle, accompanied by a check engine light. The issue appears to be linked to the idle air control (IAC) valve, potentially due to a heavily contaminated intake. A similar case suggested that professional inspection and cleaning or replacement of the IAC valve might be necessary to resolve the problem.
Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Yeah, there's definitely some rough idling happening before it stalls, and it seems worse when the engine is cold. Did you end up replacing the IAC valve, or was it something else?

I played around with cleaning it but ended up going to the workshop. It turned out the intake was indeed heavily contaminated, messing with the IAC valve. Honestly, save yourself the headache and get it checked by a professional. My bill was around 425€, including parts and labor.

Thanks for the heads-up! Seems like a trip to the workshop is inevitable. I appreciate you sharing your experience.

Hey! I had something similar happen with my Koleos (though it's an older model). Stalling at idle and the check engine light are classic symptoms. Have you noticed any rough idling before it completely stalls, or any issues when the engine is cold?
