Thanks. You mentioned checking the wiring harness. Were there any specific wear points or common failure locations you saw when you checked, or anything that helped you find the error?

Honestly, I didn't find anything obvious with the wiring at first, but fiddling with the connector seemed to temporarily fix it, which made me think it was a connection problem. But the problem came back soon after. I just gave up and took it to a workshop. They replaced the sensor, and that fixed it. You might save time and just go straight to a mechanic.

I appreciate the advice. Based on your experience, I had the sensor replaced by a workshop. The repair, including the sensor and labor, cost 52€. The issue is resolved. Thank you for your help!

I had a similar problem with my Kona. Not sure about the year, but the symptoms sound almost identical. Check engine light, stalling... it was a nightmare. At first, I thought it was bad fuel, but the problem kept happening even after changing gas stations. I ended up replacing the fuel level sensor, but before that, did you check the wiring harness and connections to the sensor? Maybe there is a bad connection or a broken wire.
