When you say 'dodgy connection,' are we talking about a loose plug, or a broken wire? Was it easy to get to, or did you have to wrestle with the door panel for hours?

For me it was just a corroded connector. Needed a good clean and some electrical contact cleaner. But honestly, getting to it was a pain. I'd say if you're not super confident, it might be worth getting a workshop to take a look. Save yourself the headache!

Okay, thanks for the tip! I took it to my local garage, and you were spot on – corroded connector in the door handle. They cleaned it up and now it's working perfectly again. Cost me 95€, but worth it to avoid messing it up myself!

Sounds familiar! I had a similar problem with my old Vauxhall Corsa. Keyless stopped working, and it turned out to be a dodgy connection in the door. Have you checked the wiring and connectors going to the door handle? Might be worth a look before you go too deep.
