Kuga automatic transmission fault

I'm having trouble with my 2020 Ford Kuga gasoline with 38k km. The transmission indicator and check engine lights are on. The automatic transmission seems stuck in emergency mode. It doesn't shift right, feels like it's slipping, and makes grinding noises when it does shift. The error memory registered a fault related to the radiator oil pressure. I've checked for leaks or damage to cables, but found nothing. Any ideas?

Sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my Kuga a while back. Those symptoms – the lights, the emergency mode, the dodgy shifting – it's all pointing to a transmission issue. When it happened to me, it was really frustrating. Did you notice any overheating?

No overheating that I've noticed, but I wasn't really looking for it. What was the cause in your case? And did it throw any specific error codes?

Yeah, the lack of overheating is interesting, maybe it's not the same. In my case, it was a faulty sensor that caused all the problems. I'd suggest getting it checked by a workshop ASAP. It's better to be safe than sorry when it comes to transmissions.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to the workshop and you were spot on. Turns out it was just a defective cable/plug connection to the pressure sensor. Repair cost was only 95€. Really appreciate the help!
