Kuga Auxiliary Heater Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Ford Kuga with a gasoline engine is experiencing issues with the auxiliary heater not starting, accompanied by an error message. A similar problem was resolved by replacing a defective glow plug, which is suggested as a potential cause. It is recommended to consult a workshop for diagnosis and repair if not confident in performing the replacement independently.

Glow plugs, huh? Where are they located, and are they easy to get to? I'm not exactly a master mechanic, but I'm willing to give it a shot before taking it to a shop.

Okay, so I had the exact same issue last year. My local workshop confirmed that the glow plug was defective. They replaced it, and it cost me around 440€. If you are not confident doing it yourself, I'd recommend a workshop.

Thanks a lot! I suspected it might be something like that. I'll book it in with a workshop and mention the glow plug. Hopefully, that'll sort it. Cheers for the help!

Sounds familiar! I have a Kuga as well. Had similar symptoms with my parking heater last winter. Did you check the glow plugs? That was the culprit in my case.
