Summary of the thread
A 2010 Ford Kuga owner experienced issues with remote unlocking and engine starting, linked to a bumper antenna error. The problem was suspected to be due to a defective cable or plug connection. Yeah, it's driving me nuts! A bumper antenna is basically just an antenna mounted inside the bumper, usually for the radio signal or, in my case, for the central locking system. Where exactly was the problem in your Corsa?

Ah, got it. With the Corsa, it turned out to be a corroded connection in the antenna mount. Best bet is to take it to a workshop. They'll check the connections and the antenna itself.

Thanks! I appreciate the help. I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on. It was indeed a defective cable at the antenna connector. Cost me 95€ to get it sorted. Everything's working fine now!

Sounds familiar. I had something like that with my old Opel Corsa. The radio signal was terrible and the central locking went bonkers. Never thought it could be the antenna. What's a bumper antenna anyway?
