Kuga Door Lock Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2009 Ford Kuga diesel is experiencing a door lock failure, where none of the doors lock or unlock, possibly due to a faulty door sensor. The issue affects all doors, suggesting a problem with the central locking module rather than individual sensors. After checking fuses and wiring without finding an obvious issue, it was advised to consult a workshop. The problem was resolved by fixing a defective plug connection on the component, restoring functionality.

Good point. It's affecting all the doors simultaneously. Where exactly is that central locking module located on the Kuga? Maybe there's a relay I can check before tearing everything apart.

Hmm, all doors points away from individual sensors. I'm not sure about the exact location on the Kuga, but it's often behind the glove box or under the steering wheel. Honestly, if you're not confident with electrics, it might be best to have a workshop take a look. Could save you time and prevent further issues.

Yeah, you're right, messing with it blindly could make things worse. I took it to the shop. Turns out a plug connection on the component was defective. 95€ later, everything's working again. Thanks for the advice!

Sounds like a dodgy door sensor. Is it just one door or are all affected? If it's all doors, it could be something else, maybe the central locking module itself?
