Thanks, that helps, so not just me then. What eventually solved the issue on your Opel? Was it a straightforward fix?

Well, I started looking at brake switches and sensors, but it became pretty clear that I was out of my depth. Eventually it was confirmed that it was a defective motor in the brake caliper. I’d suggest bite the bullet and get it checked out.

Thanks for the advice! Took it to the shop, you called it - electric motor in the brake caliper was indeed defective. Total cost 505€. Appreciate the help diagnosing it.

Sounds familiar! I had the exact same symptoms on my old Opel. Electronic parking brake failure, same warning lights, the whole shebang. Was it also, potentially, the motor?
