Kuga Hybrid Intake Air Temperature Sensor Issue

I'm having an issue with my 2021 Ford Kuga Hybrid. The check engine light comes on and off, engine power is reduced, and it runs rough. Diagnostics show a possible fault with the intake air temperature sensor. The car has 238956 km on it. Could a bad intake air temperature sensor be the cause?

Sounds familiar! I drive a Kuga too, though I can't remember the exact year. I had very similar symptoms a while back check engine light, sluggish performance. I'm not a mechanic, but have you noticed if it's worse when the engine is cold? That's what tipped me off.

Thanks for the response. I have noticed that the symptoms seem worse during cold starts. What was the diagnosis and resolution in your case? Any details would be great.

Yep, cold starts were a nightmare. Honestly, I'm no expert and started getting really frustrated. In the end, I took it to a workshop. They ran tests and confirmed it was the sensor. It was a quick fix. I'd advise getting it checked professionally before something worse happens. Good luck!

Thanks for sharing your experience. Based on your recommendation, I'll schedule an appointment with a technician for diagnostics and sensor replacement. The repair cost was 155€.
