Kuga Manifold Pressure Sensor Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Ford Kuga diesel is experiencing a loss of power, poor engine response, and increased fuel consumption, with the check engine light on. The issues may be due to a faulty manifold pressure sensor or a large vacuum leakage. It is suggested to inspect the sensor and connecting tubes, and a professional diagnosis is recommended. The problem was confirmed to be both the manifold pressure sensor and a vacuum leak, which were repaired, resolving the issues.

Thanks for the quick reply! I'm at 110298 km. Where exactly is the sensor located, and what should I be looking for?

Alright, with that mileage, it could very well be a sensor failure. Honestly, I'd suggest taking it to a workshop. They can properly diagnose the issue and replace the sensor if needed. It will save you time and stress.

Okay, I appreciate the advice! I took it to a local mechanic, and you were spot on. It was indeed the manifold pressure sensor and a large vacuum leakage. Cost me 235€ to get it fixed. Runs like a dream now!

I had similar symptoms with my Kuga. I would check the pressure sensor and the tubes that connect to it. Maybe it is an easy fix. What's the mileage on your car?
