Kuga oil pressure warning light
Summary of the thread
A 2012 Ford Kuga diesel with 105,000 km displayed an oil pressure warning light, raising concerns about potential engine issues. The problem was identified as oil sludge, a result of contaminated oil due to overdue maintenance. An oil change resolved the issue, eliminating the warning light and restoring normal function.

Interesting. What exactly do you mean by 'oil sludge'? And what should the oil color ideally be?

Well, oil sludge is basically contamination of the engine oil, often caused by exceeding the maintenance interval for oil changes. In my case, the warning lights were due to that. If you haven't changed your oil recently, it might be worth taking it to a workshop. My repair bill was around 165€. I hope this helps!

Thanks for the info! I took it to a local shop, and you were right - it was contaminated oil and the maintenance interval had been exceeded. After the oil change, everything seems fine now!

I had a similar issue with my Kuga. Could it be oil sludge? Have you checked the engine oil color? Maybe it's time for an oil change...
