Kuga Outside Temperature Sensor Fault
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Ford Kuga Hybrid is experiencing an outside temperature sensor fault, leading to issues with the A/C, spray nozzles, and mirror heating. The suspected cause is a defective cable or plug connection. A similar case suggested checking the sensor's wiring and connections for corrosion or damage, as the error code pointed directly to the sensor. A workshop visit is recommended for a thorough inspection and potential sensor calibration.

I've inspected the connections visually, but perhaps I've missed something. When you had this issue, were the symptoms intermittent, or were they consistently present? Also, do you recall if the diagnostic trouble code pointed specifically to the sensor, or was it more ambiguous?

The symptoms were consistent once they appeared. And yes, the error code pointed directly to the outside temperature sensor. Given the similarities, I would suggest getting it checked at the workshop. Might save you some time and further frustration.

I shall proceed with a thorough inspection of the wiring, but it seems a visit to the workshop is unavoidable. The repair cost was 95€ due to an error in the sensor calibration. Thanks for sharing your experience; it proved invaluable.

I've experienced something similar with my Kuga. It sounds like the outside temperature sensor. Have you tried checking the sensor's wiring and connections for any signs of corrosion or damage? That was the source of my issues.
