Kuga Parking Aid Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Ford Kuga owner is experiencing a parking aid failure, with the system not functioning and an error stored in the memory. The mechanic suggested that the issue might be due to a defective cable or plug connection. A fellow Kuga owner recommended checking the sensors for visible damage or dirt, as they are typically located on the rear bumper. Ultimately, the problem was confirmed to be a faulty cable, which was repaired at a workshop.

Thanks for the tip! Nah, no beeping whatsoever, it's completely silent. Where exactly are the parking sensors located on the Kuga? I guess a visual inspection is the least I can do. And were your symptoms exactly the same?

Yep, mine was silent too. The sensors are usually on the rear bumper, sometimes on the front as well depending on the model, they look like little circles. I'd definitely suggest getting it checked at a workshop, just in case. They can pinpoint the exact sensor or wiring issue. Seems like a defective cable or plug connection could really be it.

Cheers. I'll have a look at the sensors, but I think I'll take it to the workshop. The mechanic confirmed the cable was faulty and the repair set me back 95€. Thanks for the advice!

I had a similar issue with my Kuga. Parking sensors went bonkers! Are you getting any beeping at all, or is it just completely dead? Have you checked the sensors themselves for any visible damage or dirt? Could be worth a quick look before digging deeper.
