Kuga preheating lamp error

My 2019 Ford Kuga diesel is throwing me for a loop. I've got over 215000 km on the clock. The preheating lamp won't switch off and there's an error code stored. I reckon it's a glow plug issue, am I right?

Sounds familiar. I had similar symptoms with my Kuga – preheating lamp staying on and an error code. Rough idle when the engine was cold too? It definitely points to the glow plugs. Have you noticed any other changes in how it runs?

Yes, it does idle a bit rough, especially when it's cold! So, if you had the same problem, what was the final verdict? Did replacing the glow plugs solve it completely?

In my case, replacing the glow plugs sorted it right out. Given the symptoms and mileage, a defective glow plug is the most probable cause. Although you could try testing each glow plug, I would recommend a visit to the workshop. They can diagnose it properly and prevent any further damage to the diesel engine.

Thanks a million! I really appreciate the quick feedback. I'll get it booked in with a workshop. They quoted me around 440€, hopefully that's all it is!
