Kuga Washer Fluid Warning and Non-Functional System
Summary of the thread
A 2020 Ford Kuga diesel was experiencing a persistent 'Washer Fluid Low' warning and a non-functional windshield washer system. Despite refilling the washer fluid, the issue persisted, suggesting potential causes such as a blockage, faulty level sensor, or a dead washer motor. The problem was resolved by replacing the washer motor at a local shop, confirming the motor was the issue, and ensuring the fluid level was adequately filled to deactivate the warning.

Hmm, I don't hear any noise from the pump when I try to use the washers. Where is the fuse located? Is it difficult to replace the pump myself?

The fuse box location should be in your owner's manual. Replacing the pump isn't rocket science, but it can be a bit fiddly depending on access. Given the car's age and the error being stored, it might be worth getting it checked by a workshop. Could save you some time and potential headaches.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a local shop, and you were right, it was the washer motor. 25€ later and it's working again. Turns out the water level was actually too low. I was filling it up, but it wasn't enough to trigger the sensor to turn off the error. All good now!

Sounds like you might have a blockage or a dead washer motor, even if the level sensor is faulty. Does the pump make any noise when you try to use the windshield washers? It could be something as simple as a fuse, but a faulty pump is a more common culprit.
