Lacetti Climate Control Issues
Summary of the thread
A 2008 Chevrolet Lacetti is experiencing climate control issues, with the panel being unresponsive, a system error, poor heater output, and a non-functional AC. The suspected cause is a faulty connection, particularly in the wiring harness or connectors behind the panel. A suggested solution is to inspect the main power connector for corrosion or loose connections, specifically pin 4, and if unresolved, seek professional assistance.

I've given the connections a once-over, but didn't dive too deep. When you say wiring harness, which specific connectors are you referring to exactly? Any particular pins known to be problematic?

In my case (Astra), it was the main power connector, pin 4 I think, that fed the whole unit. Check for corrosion or loose connections there. I spent hours troubleshooting until I realised it was easier to just take it to a workshop. Best of luck.

Understood. I'll check the main power connector more thoroughly. If that doesn't pan out, I'll swallow my pride and head to a workshop. Thanks for the tip. Replacing the cable and fixing the connector cost 95€. It’s all working now.

Sounds familiar. I had a similar issue with my old Opel Astra, though a slightly different model. Same symptoms – completely dead climate control. Have you checked the wiring harness and connectors behind the panel itself? That was my starting point.
