Lacetti fuel volume regulator issue
Summary of the thread
A 2010 Chevrolet Lacetti is experiencing issues such as the check engine light being on, stalling at idle, and reduced engine power at 113,506 kilometers. Diagnostics suggest a defective fuel volume regulator, possibly due to a failing high-pressure pump. A similar case was resolved by replacing the faulty fuel regulator valve, with professional assistance recommended due to the complexity of the high-pressure fuel system.

Yes, fuel efficiency has suffered. Did your diagnostic process isolate the fuel regulator valve, or did you check other parts? Also, were special tools needed for the replacement?

After testing, the fuel regulator valve was the problem. I'm not a mechanic, so I took it to a workshop. Given the complexity and the high-pressure fuel system, I'd recommend professional help. It may need special tools and knowledge for a safe and correct repair.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a workshop, and they confirmed a defective fuel volume regulator that needed replacement. The repair cost 1510€, but it got my Lacetti back in shape. Thanks again!

I've had similar issues with my Lacetti. Your symptoms are almost exactly what I experienced. Has your fuel efficiency also dropped? For me, it was a faulty fuel regulator valve, the car sensors are quite sensitive. Did you check the fuel injectors?
