Lacetti injector issue
Summary of the thread
A 2008 Chevrolet Lacetti diesel with 137,659 km is experiencing rough engine performance and a check engine light, indicating an error related to reset quantity drift compensation. This issue is likely caused by a faulty injector. While a system reset might temporarily clear the error, the underlying problem would persist, necessitating a workshop visit for proper diagnosis and repair. Ultimately, the workshop confirmed a bad injector, which was replaced to resolve the issue.

Fuel economy seems okay. Could a bad injection valve/injector be the only reason for that error? Would a system reset work, or does the injector need to be replaced?

A faulty injector could cause that drift compensation error and the rough running. A reset might clear the light for a bit, but if the injector is bad, it will return. With those symptoms and mileage, it's probably injector issues. Get it checked at a workshop.

Thanks for the advice. The workshop confirmed a bad injector. The repair cost 515€. Thanks for the help.

Drift compensation, eh? Sounds like your injectors might be playing up. Is your fuel economy tanking too? Have you done any diagnostics besides reading the error code?
