Lacetti Windshield Washer Heater Issue
Summary of the thread
A 2005 Chevrolet Lacetti diesel is experiencing a malfunction with the windshield washer heater, leading to frozen spray nozzles in cold weather and an error in the memory. The suspected cause is a faulty cable or plug connection. After checking the fuses and ruling them out, the issue was resolved by replacing the defective connection at a workshop.

Good point! I did check the fuses, and they seem fine. Could it still be a fuse issue even if it looks okay visually? Also, was your Renault's issue also triggered by cold weather?

Hmm, if the fuse looks good, it's probably not that. And no, my Renault's washer issue was in the summer, so probably not weather-related like yours. Honestly, with the heater error and frozen nozzles, it might be best to get it checked at a workshop. Saved me a lot of headache with the Megane.

Thanks for the advice. I took it to the shop, and you were right, it was a defective connection. They replaced the cable/plug, and it's working fine now. Cost me 95€.

Sounds frustrating! I had a similar problem with my old Renault Megane, though it wasn't the heater specifically. My washer motor just quit working. Have you checked the fuse for the washer motor?
