Laguna AC failure
Summary of the thread
A 2015 Renault Laguna diesel is experiencing a complete AC failure, with the system not turning on despite the fuses being intact. Possible causes include faulty valves or a triggered pressure switch due to a refrigerant leak, which disables the system to prevent damage. Suggested solutions involve checking the pressure switch near the condenser and consulting a workshop to diagnose and address potential valve issues.

Thanks! Where exactly is the pressure switch located? And what kind of weird noises should I have been listening for? I didn't really notice anything, but now I'm second-guessing.

It's usually near the condenser, spot it by electrical connection. If you're not sure, I'd avoid messing with the refrigerant lines yourself. Regarding noise, like a rattling. But what you describe points to valve problems, especially if the system isn't even turning on. So, I'd take it to a workshop before doing more damage.

Okay, thanks! I'll take it to a trusted workshop and mention the pressure switch and potential valve issues. Hopefully, they can diagnose it quickly. I appreciate the help!

Hey, I had a similar issue with my Laguna, though it sounds expensive. Have you checked the pressure switch? Sometimes a refrigerant leak can trigger that, which disables the whole system to protect it. Also, any weird AC noise before it stopped?
