Laguna Blower Motor Issue

Hi, I'm having a weird issue with my 2001 Renault Laguna with a gasoline engine. The blower motor isn't working, so no air comes out of the vents. The mileage is at 55937 km. I suspect it might be the AUC sensor (air conditioning sensor), as I've read that a faulty cable or plug connection of the component could be the cause. Has anyone experienced something similar?

Hey, I had a similar problem with my old Opel Corsa. The climate control went haywire, and it turned out to be a faulty HVAC sensor, which is similar to the AUC sensor you mentioned. Do you have any error codes showing up on the dashboard, or did you already check the fuse for the blower motor?

Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't seen any error codes, and I did check the fuse – it seems to be fine. You mentioned an HVAC sensor; is that the same as the cabin air sensor, or is it something different? And where was it located in your Corsa?

Yes, HVAC sensor is just another name for the cabin air sensor, or the AUC sensor. It's the same thing. On my Corsa, it was located near the air intake, under the windshield. I'd recommend checking the wiring and the plug connection. However, given that you've checked the basics, it might be worth having a workshop take a look. They'll have diagnostic tools to pinpoint the exact problem.

Okay, thanks a lot for the advice! I'll check the wiring and plug, but it sounds like a trip to the mechanic is inevitable. I've already booked an appointment. They're estimating around 95€ for the repair, cable or plug connection of the component defective. Appreciate the help!
