Alright, need some help here. I've got a 2007 Renault Laguna, diesel engine, and I'm pulling my hair out! My speedometer keeps flashing an error, and the braking feels seriously weak. Plugging in a diagnostic tool confirms it: brake booster pressure sensor failure. Mileage is sitting at 196161 km. I'm suspecting someone might have messed up bleeding the brakes previously. Could that cause this sensor to freak out?

Good day. I understand your frustration. I experienced a similar issue with my 2012 Opel Insignia, also a diesel. An error message was displayed, and the braking performance was noticeably diminished. The diagnostic pointed towards a brake pressure issue. Did you recently have any work done on the braking system?

Thanks for the reply! No work done recently, that's what's so strange. It just started happening out of the blue. But before I bought it, I have a feeling that the brake system may have been bled incorrectly. Can a bad brake bleed really mess with the pressure sensor like that?

You were spot on! Took it to a workshop, and they confirmed the brakes were bled poorly in the past, causing the sensor to go haywire. Cost me 90€ to get it sorted, new sensor and a proper bleed. Thanks a million for the advice!
