Laguna error memory lock

I've got a 2011 Renault Laguna with a gasoline engine and I'm facing a weird issue. The error memory lock is active, and I'm getting an error stored in the fault memory. Could undervoltage really be the culprit?

I had a similar issue with my Laguna a while back. Error memory lock, you say? Was it happening after a jump start or perhaps after the car sat unused for an extended period? Did you hook it up to a diagnostic tool to read the codes?

Yeah, this happened after the car stood still for about a month. I did use a diagnostic tool and it showed some ECU fault codes. The guy from roadside assistance mentioned something about undervoltage causing the memory lock. Did you ever check that yourself?

Undervoltage, eh? Well, that sounds about right. In my case it was definitely related to a weak battery – these ECUs can get really sensitive. But honestly, I didn’t mess around with it myself; straight to the workshop it went. They cleared the fault memory, checked the battery and charging system. Got rid of the fault codes so everything behaved normally again. Why waste time trying to figure it out yourself when the pros can do it?

Thanks a lot for sharing your experience! I took it to a local auto repair shop, and indeed it was undervoltage. They reset everything, and it cost me around 240€. At least it's fixed now!
