Laguna fuel flap release failure
Summary of the thread
The 2010 Renault Laguna is experiencing a fuel flap release failure, with diagnostics indicating an error and additional intermittent vehicle function issues. The problem may stem from a defective fuel door lock actuator, potentially causing electrical interference. Suggested solutions include checking the wiring and connectors, and if no sound is heard from the actuator, it likely needs replacement. A workshop diagnosis and repair are recommended to resolve the issue.

Thanks. I checked the wiring and connector, and they look fine. I don't hear any sound from the actuator when I try to release the flap. Could a faulty actuator also affect other vehicle functions, since I'm experiencing that?

Yes, a faulty actuator could affect other functions if it's causing a short or interference in the electrical system. Since you've checked the wiring and hear no sound, the actuator itself is likely defective. I'd suggest a workshop to get it diagnosed and replaced. It's a common issue.

Thanks, I appreciate the confirmation. I'll book it in. From what I've seen, the repair should be around 210€. Hopefully, that fixes everything.

Sounds like a fuel door lock actuator issue. Have you checked the wiring and the connector to the actuator? Sometimes a loose or corroded connection causes this. Do you hear any sound from the actuator when you try to release the flap? That could help.
