Laguna height control restricted warning

I'm having a weird issue with my 2006 Renault Laguna diesel. The 'height control restricted' warning light keeps popping up. The low beams seem off, either pointing too high or too low. Also, the car feels like it's not sitting level – the front seems lower than the rear. The ride is noticeably bumpier too. I had a mechanic read the error memory, and there was an error related to the height control. Could it be a defective control rod on the sensor?

I had a similar problem with my Laguna. Does the car have a leveling system? Check the load sensor. It could very well be the culprit.

Thanks for the tip! Could you elaborate on which sensor it was and where exactly it's located? I'm not very familiar with these systems.

I don't know where exactly the sensor is located, but I'm pretty sure that was the leveling system load sensor that generated the problem. I'd suggest you take your car to a workshop. It will be faster and safer.

Thank you for your input! I took it to the workshop, and it was the control rod on the sensor that was defective, just as suspected. Repair cost me 110€. All fixed now!
