Laguna Injection System Fault

My 2014 Renault Laguna with a gasoline engine has 114929 km. I'm seeing increased fuel consumption, reduced power, engine stalling at idle, and smoke during acceleration. Diagnostics suggest a bad cable or plug in the injection system. Anyone seen this before?

I had something similar with my Laguna, though I didn't check the mileage. Higher fuel consumption and reduced power were definitely there. Did you check for any obvious leaks or damage to the system components? Could be a simple fix if it's just a bad connection.

When you mention 'system components,' could you be more specific? I want to inspect thoroughly, and knowing which components are most likely affected would help.

I'm no expert, but when mine acted up, the mechanic mentioned the fuel injectors and the wiring harness. Honestly, it's probably best to get it checked by a workshop. They'll diagnose it properly and avoid further damage. Could be a leaky injector, and that's something you don't want to mess with.

Based on the advice, I scheduled a mechanic appointment. The diagnostic assessment confirmed a defective connection in the injection system. The repair, including replacing the faulty connector and wiring, cost 95€.
