Laguna Oil Level Sensor Fault

Hey, I'm getting a weird error on my 2010 Renault Laguna diesel. It keeps saying there's an oil level sensor fault. The error message pops up on the speedometer, and the oil pressure light comes on too. I checked the oil, and it's fine! The error is also stored in the error memory. Any ideas?

Sounds familiar! I had a similar issue with my old BMW 3 series. Turned out to be a dodgy connection. Have you checked the cable and plug to the sensor itself? Could be a loose wire or some corrosion.

Yeah, I've had a quick look, but I'm no mechanic. Where exactly is that cable/plug located? Is it easy to get to?

On my BMW, it was pretty accessible from underneath, near the oil pan. But on the Laguna, it could be different. Honestly, if you're not confident, it's probably best to get a workshop to take a look. Could save you a bigger headache down the line.

Thanks for the advice! I took it to a shop, and you were spot on - faulty connection. Cost me 95€ to fix. Appreciate the help!
