Laguna oxygen sensor cable issue
Summary of the thread
A 2014 Renault Laguna diesel exhibited a check engine light and poor fuel consumption, with an error code indicating an issue with the oxygen sensor heater. The suspected cause was a faulty cable or plug connection. A similar case was resolved by addressing the defective cable connection, and professional assistance was recommended to ensure proper repair. The issue was ultimately fixed at a workshop, confirming the cable and plug connection as the problem.

You're kidding, right? No, I haven't tested the O2 sensor. How did you resolve it, specifically? What steps did you take?

Okay, it sounds like we had the same problem. Honestly, I didn't mess with the sensor testing myself. My knowledge about the air-fuel ratio is limited. I took it straight to a workshop. It was indeed the oxygen sensor and the cable connection was defective. You could probably fix it yourself, but I'd recommend professional help to make sure it's done correctly.

Thanks for the insight! Took it to the shop, just like you said. It was the cable and plug connection for the oxygen sensor. Cost me 95€, but at least the light is off and the car is running right again!

I had a similar issue with my Laguna. Same symptoms: check engine light, bad fuel consumption. The error memory had stored an error related to vehicle emissions. Have you tested the oxygen sensor? A malfunction indicator could also signal a problem with the air-fuel ratio.
