Laguna Power Windows Failure
Summary of the thread
After replacing the battery in a 2012 Renault Laguna diesel, the power windows stopped working, and an error message indicated a window regulator initialization failure. The issue affected all four windows, suggesting a central problem rather than a fuse. A workshop visit was necessary, where a full system reset and re-initialization of the window regulators resolved the issue.

I've tried the reset many times, but no luck. All four windows are affected, so I think it's something central. Is there a specific fuse or module that controls all the windows that might be affected?

If all windows are affected and the reset isn't working, a fuse is possible but less likely. On the Laguna, the body control module might need re-programming after power loss. The error code should give a clue, but it sounds like a workshop visit is needed. Window resets are hit and miss!

I went to the workshop today. They performed a full system reset and re-initialization of the window regulators. Cost me 290€, but the windows are working again. Thanks for your help!

Sounds like the regulator lost its settings. Did you try a simple reset? Sometimes holding the window switch in the 'up' position after it's fully closed can re-initialize it. Worth a try. Which doors are affected?
