Laguna Rear Ventilation Issue

I'm pulling my hair out! I've got a 2001 Renault Laguna, gasoline engine, and the rear ventilation is acting up. Error's stored in the memory, climate control's wonky, and the AC's blowing warm. I'm betting it's a bad connection somewhere – anyone else wrestled with this?

Summary of the thread

A 2001 Renault Laguna is experiencing rear ventilation issues, with the climate control malfunctioning and the AC blowing warm air. The problem is suspected to be a bad connection, possibly involving the blend door actuator or a loose plug. The solution involves checking and repairing the rear vent flap connector, which was confirmed to be the issue.

Did this summary help you solve your problem?

Sounds familiar. Had a similar gremlin in my old Saab 9-3. The blend door actuator cable had popped loose. Check the connections, could be a loose plug.

Interesting! Where exactly should I be poking around? I'm imagining it's like searching for a needle in a haystack. Is there a common spot for these connections to fail?

Yeah, it's usually buried deep. On the Saab, it was behind the center console. Honestly, without tearing half the dash apart, you're best off having a shop diagnose it. They've got the tools to pinpoint it fast.

Roger that. Shop quoted 95€; turns out, the rear vent flap connector was indeed busted, just like you said! Thanks for the heads-up – saved me a ton of grief!
