Thank you for the suggestion. I have not specifically examined the fuel pressure sensor. Where is the sensor located, and are there any tell-tale signs of a defective cable or plug connection?

It's usually on the fuel rail. Check the wiring and the plug going into the sensor itself. Give them a wiggle, see if anything changes. Could just be a bad connection. If not, you may need to get the sensor checked out by a workshop. I ended up having to replace mine; cost about 95€ including labor.

Understood. I appreciate the information regarding the fuel pressure sensor and the potential for a defective connection. I will inspect these components and consult a workshop if necessary. Your advice has been most helpful. It turned out to be exactly what you said. After a visit to the workshop the sensor was replaced and now the car runs perfectly.

Sounds like it could be fuel-related. I had a similar issue with my Laguna, though not exactly the same symptoms. Have you checked the fuel pressure sensor? A faulty sensor can cause all sorts of issues, from poor fuel economy to engine misfire. It's worth a look before suspecting the fuel injectors.
