LandCruiser DPF Issue

I'm having an issue with my 2015 Toyota LandCruiser, diesel engine. I've noticed a reduction in engine power and smoke during acceleration. The odometer reads 194312 km. Could this be a defective DPF? I checked the vehicle, but didn't see any sensor issues. I tried a regeneration, but it didn't help.

I had a similar problem with my LandCruiser, and it sounds like your DPF is clogged or defective. The reduced power and smoke are classic symptoms. A DPF traps soot to reduce emissions, and if it's not regenerating properly, it can cause these issues. Have you noticed any changes in fuel consumption?

Thanks, I appreciate the clarification about the DPF. I haven't specifically monitored fuel consumption, but do you think this is linked to the DPF issue you experienced?

Yes, I'm pretty confident your issue stems from the DPF. I'd recommend taking it to a workshop for a proper diagnosis. They can check the filter's condition, sensors, and exhaust system to pinpoint the problem. It's possible a sensor is faulty, preventing regeneration, or the filter itself is beyond cleaning.

I appreciate your assistance. I'll schedule an appointment with a trusted mechanic for a comprehensive assessment. It seems the DPF is the most likely cause, and I'll prepare for a costly repair. I was quoted 1550€ for the repair. Thanks again for your time and expertise.
