LandCruiser Headlight Range Fault

Headlight range control fault in my 2014 Toyota LandCruiser with a gasoline engine. 181362 km on the clock. Error memory stores a fault, and a warning light is active. The low beams shine either too far down or too far up. Anyone seen this?

I had similar symptoms with my LandCruiser. Could be a defective servomotor within the headlight assembly itself. These motors adjust the headlight beam based on vehicle load and driving conditions. Have you checked the electrical connectors for corrosion or damage?

Appreciate the insights. When you mention the servomotor, are you referring to the component within the adaptive headlight system? Any tests to confirm this before replacement?

Yes, it is the servomotor for the adaptive headlight system. I didn't attempt any specific tests beyond visual inspection. Given the complexity and potential for damaging the system, I opted for diagnosis by a qualified workshop. They identified the faulty servomotor.

Thanks for the confirmation. The workshop also diagnosed a faulty servomotor. Repair cost is estimated at 1040€. I appreciate your assistance in confirming the likely cause.
