LandCruiser Overvoltage Faults
Summary of the thread
A 2022 Toyota LandCruiser diesel is experiencing electrical issues, including overvoltage faults, system failures, and a weak battery. The suspected cause is a heavily discharged or defective battery. However, it is suggested to check the voltage regulator, as it might be an alternator failure causing unregulated voltage. The issue was confirmed to be a faulty voltage regulator, which was repaired at a workshop.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll check the voltage regulator. Did your symptoms include a weak battery and system failures as well?

Affirmative. Identical symptoms. I'd advise getting it checked at a workshop promptly. Overvoltage can fry sensitive components. If it is indeed a faulty voltage regulator, this could cause serious damage to other electronic parts.

Appreciate the confirmation. Took it to the workshop and they confirmed a faulty voltage regulator. Repair cost was 290€. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction!

I had a similar overvoltage issue with my LandCruiser. Check the voltage regulator; could be alternator failure feeding unregulated voltage into the system. Have you scanned the ECU for specific fault codes? Could give a clue.
