Thanks for the tip! Which main relay are you referring to exactly? And did you also have reduced engine power as your primary symptom? I'm wondering if a system reset might help, but I don't want to make things worse.

Yeah, the main engine control relay. And yep, reduced power was the first thing I noticed. A reset probably won't fix it if the relay is failing. You’re better off taking it to a workshop to have it diagnosed properly.

Thanks! Took it to the workshop, and you nailed it – the main relay was defective. They replaced it for 120€, and it's running like new again. Appreciate the help!

I had something similar happen on my LandCruiser. Check your main relay. Those ECU problems can be tricky, and a dodgy relay can cause all sorts of weirdness. Is the check engine light on?
