Latitude Bypass Valve Error
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Renault Latitude diesel with 67,000 km is experiencing engine overheating and a bypass valve malfunction error. The problem may be linked to the exhaust system, a coolant leak, or a vacuum system power loss. A similar issue was resolved by addressing a related sensor failure, which was confirmed and fixed at a workshop, resolving the overheating and error without cost under warranty.

Reduced fuel efficiency... now that you mention it, yeah, I think I have noticed that. What was the main issue that caused the bypass valve error in your car?

Yep, sounds like the same thing. Mine was a related sensor failure. Honestly, it's tricky to diagnose without the proper tools. I'd suggest getting it checked out at a workshop.

Thanks so much for the advice! I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on. It was indeed a sensor issue causing the bypass valve error. They fixed it, and the error is gone, and the overheating is gone. Plus, it was covered under warranty, so no cost! Cheers!

Hey, I had something similar happen with my Latitude! Same bypass valve error. For me, it turned out to be a consequential error. Did you notice anything else? Maybe reduced fuel efficiency?
