Latitude Bypass Valve Error

Hi, I'm having trouble with my 2011 Renault Latitude diesel. It's got about 67000 km on the clock. The engine's been overheating lately, and the error memory keeps throwing up a bypass valve malfunction error. I'm a bit clueless when it comes to cars, but could this be related to the exhaust system or maybe a coolant leak? Or perhaps even a power loss from the vacuum system?

Hey, I had something similar happen with my Latitude! Same bypass valve error. For me, it turned out to be a consequential error. Did you notice anything else? Maybe reduced fuel efficiency?

Reduced fuel efficiency... now that you mention it, yeah, I think I have noticed that. What was the main issue that caused the bypass valve error in your car?

Yep, sounds like the same thing. Mine was a related sensor failure. Honestly, it's tricky to diagnose without the proper tools. I'd suggest getting it checked out at a workshop.

Thanks so much for the advice! I took it to the workshop, and you were spot on. It was indeed a sensor issue causing the bypass valve error. They fixed it, and the error is gone, and the overheating is gone. Plus, it was covered under warranty, so no cost! Cheers!
