Latitude GPS Antenna Fault

Hi, I have a 2012 Renault Latitude with a gasoline engine and I'm having some trouble with the GPS. The navigation system says there's no GPS signal, and the error memory has a fault stored related to the GPS antenna. I'm suspecting the antenna itself is defective. Has anyone else experienced this?

I had something similar with my Latitude. No GPS reception all of a sudden. I didn't check the error memory, but the symptoms sound identical. Did you check the GPS module connections?

Thanks for the quick reply! No, I haven't checked the GPS module connections yet. Where exactly is the GPS module located in the Latitude? Is it easy to access?

It's behind the dashboard, not easily accessible unfortunately. If you're not comfortable taking the dash apart, I'd recommend taking it to a workshop. In my case the workshop confirmed it was a defective antenna, and the antenna repair cost me around 200€ including labor.

Thanks, that's really helpful. I appreciate the insight! I'll probably take it to a workshop then, sounds like it's more involved than I initially thought. I will post the resolution when I have it.
