Latitude Handsfree Microphone Failure
Summary of the thread
A 2011 Renault Latitude owner is experiencing a failure with the hands-free microphone, rendering telephony functions useless. The issue is suspected to be related to the infotainment system, as an error is stored in the error memory. Another owner with a similar problem suggests that the infotainment system might be defective and recommends having it checked by a workshop.

Volume control affected... now that you mention it, yes! It does seem overly sensitive. Ambient noise, definitely a problem. It's like driving through a wind tunnel during calls. But how did you fix it? Is there a simple workaround, or am I really looking at a whole new audio system?

Sadly, no simple fix for me. The symptoms sound identical, though. I'd suggest getting it looked at properly by a workshop. It's likely the infotainment system, as you suspected. Better to get it sorted than drive around with a useless phone system.

Appreciate the confirmation. Seems like I'm heading to the workshop, then. Thanks for sharing your experience; at least I know I'm not alone and the garage isn't trying to pull a fast one! I will post an outcome when I know more.

I had something similar with my Latitude. Telephony was a nightmare. Is the volume control affected, too? I found ambient noise got amplified massively making calls impossible. Could be a Bluetooth issue as well.
