Latitude lighting faulty

Hi, I'm having a strange electrical issue with my 2011 Renault Latitude diesel. The lighting is faulty; the lights switch on seemingly at random. I've scanned the car and there's an error stored in the memory related to the light switch. I suspect a defective cable or plug connection somewhere, but I'm not sure where to start looking. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

I had a similar problem with my Latitude. The dashboard lights would flicker, and sometimes the tail lights wouldn't work properly. I'm thinking it might be the car switch. Did you check the connections to the switch itself?

Thanks for the quick reply! When you say 'car switch', do you mean the main light switch on the dashboard, or is there another switch I should be looking at? And were you getting any specific error codes related to it?

Yes, I meant the main light switch on the dashboard. I didn't get any codes myself, but the symptoms sound pretty similar. To be honest, I ended up taking it to a workshop as I wasn't confident enough to start pulling apart the dashboard myself. They sorted it out pretty quickly.

Okay, thanks for the advice. I suspected it might be something I'd need professional help with. I'll book it in at a workshop. They found a faulty connection, just as suspected. Repair cost was 95€. Thanks again for your help!
